2020 Gift of Heat Winner

SIOUX FALLS, March 4, 2020 /Comfort Heroes Plumbing, Heating & Air/
Each year since 2014 Comfort Heroes Plumbing, Heating & Air has donated a furnace or water heater to a local needy family. This year they received dozens of nominations for the Gift of Heat. The nominee selected for 2020 is Mrs. June Staggers of Sioux Falls, SD. June and her late husband Kermit Staggers have been loyal clients of Comfort Heroes Plumbing, Heating and Air for years. On November 28th, 2019 June’s husband Kermit passed.
One Comfort Heroes HVAC technician said this, “The existing Lennox furnace was in pretty rough shape. After we took the old furnace out we found that the chimney was cracked and crumbling as well. This can allow carbon monoxide to enter the home and is definitely an unsafe condition. Mrs. Staggers really needed this furnace.”
High Efficiency Furnace Installed
The new furnace is a 96% efficiency furnace and includes a highly efficient Electrically Commutated Motor, or ECM motor. Alan Gentry, founder of Comfort Heroes Plumbing, Heating and Air says, “These furnaces are highly efficient and will go a long way towards reducing heating and cooling costs for Mrs. Staggers. We are proud to donate the Gift of Heat to her and serve her in this way.”
Mr. Gentry goes on to say, “It’s always hard to choose just one family to donate a central heating system to. A lot of the stories submitted with the nominations are very touching. I wish we could give everyone a free furnace. I hope in the future we will be able to give back even more to our community.”
